1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Legacy & Love Insurance Group (“Legacy & Love,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit legacyandlovegroup.com (the “Website”) or submit information through our forms. We are an independent insurance agency licensed in GA, MN, NJ, PA and SD. We are not an insurance carrier and we are not a law firm, tax advisor, or accounting firm.
2. Information We Collect
When you use our Website, we may collect the following information:
Information you give us. Through our “Stay Prepared” form and similar request forms, you may provide your first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), the type of insurance you are interested in, how you heard about us, any notes you choose to share, and your marketing communication preferences.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we may collect standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the website that referred you. We may use analytics tools and advertising pixels (such as Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel) that use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the Website and to measure our marketing.
What we do not ask for. Our forms are not designed to collect Social Security numbers, Medicare numbers, medical or health history, banking information, or card and payment details. Please do not include any of this information in form fields, notes, or emails to us. If you choose to share sensitive details with us by phone, email or in an appointment, we will handle them only for the purpose of serving you.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
Respond to your inquiries and provide the information, guidance or appointments you request; contact you about insurance, Medicare, and legacy-planning topics you have asked about; send you newsletters, updates and educational content if you have consented to marketing communications; operate, maintain, secure and improve the Website; evaluate the performance of our marketing and outreach; and comply with applicable legal, regulatory and recordkeeping requirements.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers. We use trusted vendors to help us operate, including our customer relationship management (CRM) platform, email and communications tools, scheduling tools, analytics providers, and website hosting. These vendors process information on our behalf.
Insurance carriers and partners. If you ask us to help you apply for coverage or enroll in a plan, we may share the information needed with the applicable insurance carrier, general agency, or enrollment partner. Any application or enrollment you complete on a carrier or partner website is governed by that company's own privacy policy.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Legacy & Love, our clients, or others.
Business transfers. If our agency is ever merged, sold or reorganized, client information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Marketing Communications and Your Choices
Email: If you sign up to “Stay Prepared,” we may send you educational emails about insurance, Medicare and legacy planning. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you may also reply to any message or email us to opt out at any time. Transactional or service messages about a request or appointment you made are not optional while we are serving you.
Calls and texts: If you provide your phone number, we may use it to follow up about your request. Where required by law, we will obtain your express written consent before sending marketing text messages or using automatic telephone dialing systems, and marketing consent boxes on our forms start unchecked. You can opt out of marketing calls or texts at any time by telling us or replying STOP.
Cookies: You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Website function.
5a. Text Messaging (SMS) and Mobile Information
If you provide your mobile phone number on our website form and check the optional SMS consent box, we collect that number to send you text messages related to your inquiry, information you requested, appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, and service-related updates. SMS consent is optional and is never required to submit our form, request information, or purchase any product or service.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages, or reply HELP for assistance. You may also email us to have your number removed.
No sale or sharing of mobile information: mobile information and SMS consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are shared only with the service providers that deliver messages on our behalf, and only for that purpose.
6. Data Retention and Security
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, to serve you as a client, and to meet legal, regulatory and recordkeeping requirements applicable to insurance professionals. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, ask what information we have collected, or withdraw a marketing consent, subject to legal and regulatory requirements that may require us to retain certain records. To make a request, email info@legacyandlovegroup.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, and we will honor those rights as applicable.
8. Children's Privacy
The Website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
